Ann Marie Rivers Bridges

Ann Marie Rivers Bridges, age 76, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017, at her son’s residence.

Ann Bridges was born in Atlanta, Ga., to the late Thurston Rivers and Ruth Violet Manderville Rivers. She was also preceded in death by her baby sister and brothers, Donald Ray Rivers and Thurston Burtron Rivers.

Before retirement, Ann worked for Krispy Kreme and Red Lobster for a number of years. She was a hard worker who provided for her three children alone. She lived in the Leila Valley and Tobey Grant housing project and the Long View Mobile Home Park in East Point. She was a proud descendent of the founder of Riverdale, Ga.

She is survived by her children, Rickey (Dana) Bridges of Monticello, Rodney Bridges of Blairsville and Kathy (Robert) Lunsford of Macon; grandchildren, Arthur Bridges, Kala Bridges, T. J. Bridges, Addison Bridges, Lauren Sumner, Christie Ware, Andrew Schnock, Michael Schnock and Hunter Lunsford, and great-grandchildren, Ava Ring, Bentley Bridges, Brianna Ware and Nicholas Ware.

A graveside service was to be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at the Riverdale Baptist Cemetery in Riverdale. Dr. Jeffrey C. Lowe was to officiate.

Jordan Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements.
