Health Fair Set

A senior expo health fair will be held Saturday, July 29, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Jasper County High School, 14477 Hwy. 11 North in Monticello in conjunction with the Back to School rally.

The expo is a partnership with Jasper County Family Connection’s Back-to-School Rally, Jasper Memorial Hospital’s Health Fair, and Jasper County Senior Center’s Senior Expo.

Free blood glucose screenings and blood pressure checks will be offered. There will be information on diabetes, Alzheimer’s dementia, nutrition, caregivers, and more. There will also be information on tools for life and assistive technology.

“The older we get the better life can be: stay active, stay informed, stay engaged, keep your purpose & dignity,” said Tracy Norton of the Jasper County Senior Center. “Culture change in Georgia means aging in place. We are better together.”
