Thomas Lee Rooks, Jr.

Thomas Lee Rooks, Jr. was born June 27, 1958 to the late Anna Lee Byron and Thomas Lee Rooks, Sr., in Jasper County, Monticello.

During the early years of his life, he joined St. John C.M.E. Church. He attended Jasper County schools, and was employed at Dexter Axle for many years. Tommy was friendly and outgoing person, who loved his family and friends. He loved to dance and many called him their dancing partner.

Thomas entered into eternal rest on May 2, 2017.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories two daughters, Deqala Norwood of Covington and Tyechia Rooks of Monticello; four brothers, Tony Rooks, Ricky Rooks, Michael Rooks and Rodney Rooks, all of Monticello; six sisters, Bernice Stone, Christine Ross (Willie), Angie Rooks (Bobby), Jan Tripp (Riley), and Vickie Clark, all of Monticello, four grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and a special beloved friend, Martha Benton and her three children.

Smith & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
