Investigator Helps Nab Serial Child Molester

On March 5, working in an undercover capacity targeting internet child predators, an investigator with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office created an online profile posing as a 14-year-old female.
The investigator received messages by an account holder with the name of “Brian Johnson.” His picture was that of a white male, claiming to be 22 years old. He further claimed to be living in Sandy, Oregon but was going to be moving to Monticello, according to an announcement from Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO).
Mr. “Johnson” sent the undercover officer inappropriate messages of a sexual nature and sent pictures of his genitals as well as 12 photographs depicting acts of aggravated child molestation, the announcement said.
As a result of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office investigation, the information obtained led to contacting The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) to determine the identity of these child victims, the announcement said.

The Sandy Police Department in Oregon was contacted. A detective there stated that he received a similar case from the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children’s (AZICAC) Task Force involving a “Brian Johnson.” The detective was able to determine that “Brian Johnson” was an alias.
The predator’s real name is Larry Lewis Hudson, age 44 and a registered sex offender in Sandy, Oregon.
Mr. Hudson was previously convicted in Clackamas County, Oregon in 2001 of attempted first-degree sexual penetration with a foreign object while sexually abusing a five year old girl, according to Oregonlive.com.
The information supplied to the Sandy, Oregon Police Department by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office developed into an interstate, and subsequent FBI, investigation which resulted in the arrest of a dangerous, prolific, serial child sexual predator.
On March 31, 2017, members of the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force, along with the Sandy Police Department arrested Mr. Hudson at his home in Sandy, Oregon.
He’s now facing federal charges of attempted online enticement of a minor, transmitting obscene material to a minor, and two counts each of distribution of child pornography and attempting to transmit obscene material to a minor. There is a possibility he could face life imprisonment, according to the announcement from the JCSO.
