COC Golf Tourney Set May 10
On Wednesday, May 10, the Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce (COC) will sponsor its annual Golf Tournament.
The tournament will be held at Hunter Pope Country Club and is open to the first 68 golfers. The four man scramble tournament begins at 1 p.m.
Entry fee is $55 per person and includes three mulligans, dinner, cart and green fees.
A portion of this year’s tournament proceeds will go to Rescue Me Georgia to benefit The Jasper County Animal Shelter. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place teams, straightest drive on hole #1, longest drive on hole 16, closest to pin prizes on #4, #6, #11, and #18.
Any golfer will win a $500 cash prize for a “Hole in One” on #18, and a $50 donation will be made to a charity of the golfer’s choice for a “Hole in One” on any Par Three. There will also be a cash “split the kitty” raffle.
Youth Team Sponsor for Piedmont Academy and Jasper County High School is Polytech Industries. The beverage cart sponsor is Express Employment Agency.
Bucket sponsors include Bank Of Monticello, Chamber Of Commerce, Hamilton State Bank, and State Farm Insurance – Judy Yielding.
