MS Lady Cougars End Season With Win

Piedmont Academy’s Middle School girls soccer team defeated Cousins Middle School 8-3 last week to complete the 2017 season.

Hannah Tyler scored three goals in the victory while Adrianna Chapko, Raleigh Lofton, Carina Valdivia, Jayden Young and Emma Black also added goals.

“Everyone played well,” said coach Michael Wilson. “I was very pleased.”

Savanna Taylor and Jayden Young split time in goalie, and both had strong performances.

“It’s nice to win a game like this because in the last 10 minutes we were able to move people around and play different positions and enjoy a victory,” Wilson said.

“It was a great season for such a young team. I am excited for their future. Many of the seventh graders have a chance to play varsity next year and help grow the program at the school.”
