HOME LOST

The home of Willie Wise at Edwards Mobile Home Park near Shady Dale caught fire in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, and firefighters from six stations responded, limiting the damage to the Wise’s home. Mr. Wise was at work at the time, according to Assistant Fire Chief Jarrett Slocumb, and Mrs. Wise woke up to smoke and some flame.

The cause of the fire appears to be electrical, and Mrs. Wise and her dog escaped unharmed. Firefighters from Station 1, Jackson Lake; Station 2, Shady Dale; Station 3, Monticello; Station 4, Hillsboro; Station 5, Piedmont and Station 7, Farrar all responded, quickly extinguishing the blaze.
