Roy Hulsey
Edward Roy Hulsey, Jr., age 61, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at his residence.
Roy Hulsey was born in Milledgeville, to the late Edward Roy Hulsey, Sr. and Mildred Estelle Key Hulsey. He was a lifelong resident of Monticello; and a member of Smithboro Baptist Church.
Roy Hulsey worked as a self-employed automobile mechanic. He previously owned and operated Pete’s BP for seven years; and worked alongside his late father at Pennington Tire and Garage in Milledgeville. When not busy fixing vehicles, you would find him fishing or spending time with his grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his sister, Edna Hulsey; and uncle, Fred Carlton Hulsey.
He is survived by his wife, Sissy Tillman Hulsey of Monticello; daughter, Krissi (Matt) Bristow of Columbia, S.C.; grandchildren, Sophia Lane Bristow, Cade Lantz Bristow and Mia Belle Bristow; aunt, Jane Patricia Pope Hulsey of Monticello; and sisters, Edwina Garcia of San Diego, Calif., and Beverly Taylor of Alabama.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 24, 2017, at West View Cemetery. Dr. Robert Whitmire will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Jordan Funeral Home.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations to the charity of one’s choice.
