Crime Takes a Holiday
In a relatively light week for the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO), no physical thefts were reported, but there was an incident of identify theft.
In addition, the arrest booking for the week is shorter than average. However, several were arrested on various charges, and they include:
•Richard Louis Rodriguez, 36, Newborn—aggravated sodomy, incest, aggravated child molestation and probation violation.
•Vashon Leon Traylor, 27, Monticello—no valid insurance, seat belt violation, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, child endangerment and failure to stop at stop sign.
•Teresa Annette Sanchez, 56, McDonough—battery.
•Glen Edward Carter, 61, Monticello—criminal attempt to commit a felony.
•Ady Anton Dahod, 18, Monticello—probation violation.
•Amber Joan Candler, 26, Monticello—cruelty to children, 2nd degree.
•Toccara Sheronne Johnson, 35, Monticello—probation violation.
•Tyson Neal Carnes, 31, Covington—probation violation.
Deputies responded to about 400 calls for service including 116 premises check, 56 stopping suspicious person or vehicle, 54 serve civil papers, and numerous other types of calls.
