SEUSS ON THE LOOSE

The Cat in the Hat visited Piedmont Academy this week to promote his event coming up this Saturday, March 4, from 10 a.m. to noon at Jasper County High School. Seuss on the Loose, a fund raiser for the Ferst Foundation in Jasper County is open to everyone and has special activities for young children.

There will numerous games, and, in addition, there will be the chance to win lots of neat prizes, which may appeal to the slightly older crowd. Ferst Foundation provides a book a month to children from birth to five years old free of charge. Once registered, the child receives a book in the mail each month at his or her home.

Funds raised from Saturday’s event provide funding for the service. Children may sign up Saturday for the books, and those children adn older ones can just come out and have a good time.
