Dennis M. Taylor

Dennis M. Taylor, age 83, of Mansfield, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Bessie Howington Taylor; sisters, Pearlie Baucome, Kathleen McKee, Joyce Dodd, and Clara Taylor, and brother, Willie Taylor.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Barbara Etheridge Taylor, Mansfield; children, Randy Taylor, Covington, Vera Taylor, Newborn, Velda Austin, Newborn, Andrew and Tracy Taylor, Mansfield; stepson, Drew Anthony and Barbara Burel, Auburn, GA; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Ray and Vivian Taylor, Walnut Grove; beloved nieces and nephews; special thanks to Jeff and Talisa Taylor for all your love and care to Dennis Taylor; brother-in-law, Jerry Dodd of Buford.

Mr. Taylor was born February 20, 1933 in Buford, GA. He received his education from Sugar Hill High. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a retired machinist from Cellofoam Southeastern Company. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Covington.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford with no formal service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Shriner’s Childrens Hospital in memory of Dennis Taylor.
