Special Election Set

A special election to fill the county commissioner vacancy left by the death of Commissioner Gene Trammell will be held on Tuesday, March 21. A runoff, if needed, will be held April 18.

Qualifying for the election will take place in Jasper County Probate Court beginning February 6 at 9 a.m., and ending at noon, February 9. Qualifying fee is $216.

Voters must be registered by February 21 to vote in this election. It will only affect District 3.
