Arrests Are Made; Incidents Reported

Officers with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office responded to few thefts in the last week…just two were reported. One was on Turner Road in Hillsboro, and the other was on Rock Eagle Road in Monticello. Nothing that was taken was included in the report provided to the newspaper.

Those persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Glynn Allan Long, 46, Monticello—probation violation.

•Wayne Ellis Mask, 39, Monticello—probation violation.

•Obie Kester Lucky, 36, Monticello—pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Ardrecus Rashard Banks, 35, Monticello—probation violation.

•Latonya Hallman, 45, Shady Dale—expired registration, driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Tavoris Antonio Whidby, 32, Monticello—possession of cocaine, pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

•James Nicholas Bailey, 24, Monticello—possession of amphetamine and drugs not in original container.

•Nikki Lashea Metcalf, 24, Sevierville, Tenn.—possession of amphetamine and drugs not in original container.

•Codie Alexander Jeffares, 23, Monticello—possession of amphetamine, failure to maintain lane, drugs not in original container and seat belt violation.

•Ricky Kemp, 54, Monticello—driving while license suspended or revoked and failure to maintain lane.

•Joseph Frank Lawson, 53, Shady Dale—buy, sell, etc. motor vehicle, or part which serial numbers have been altered.

Deputies also responded to some 400 calls, including 90 stopping suspicious person or vehicle, 61 premises check, 37 serve civil papers, 17 subject needs officer, and miscellaneous other calls.
