Sheriff’s Office To Offer Active Shooter Class
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a Civilian Response to Active Shooter events class on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10 a.m. to noon.
The class will include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, the role of professional guardians, civilian response options, medical issues, and drills.
The training will occur at the Jasper County Courthouse. Interested persons should contact Martha Artessa at the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office 706-468-4912.
Due to the nature of the material covered, the class is restricted to adults. Space is limited to the first 75 attendees.
