Several Receive Jail Time
Michael J. Peek will serve 10 years in confinement of a 30 year sentence for two counts of incest and two counts of child molestation. Two counts of aggravated child molestation, one count of incest, and one count of sodomy were nolle prossed.
The defendant received the sentence last Tuesday as he appeared before Judge Brenda H. Tolbert in Jasper Superior Court.
Following Mr. Peek’s time in confinement, he will spend 20 years on probation. He was also fined $1,500.

Richard L. Williams was also given 18 months of confinement in the state penal system for multiple probation violations including the new offense of driving while license suspended or revoked in January 2015 and conducting a chop shop along with theft by receiving stolen property in August 2016.
He was also sentenced to 10 years of probation, consecutive to the former sentence, for a separate criminal case involving theft by receiving stolen property. He was ordered to pay restitution of $17,791 to Top Turf, Inc.
Heather M. Johnson was ordered to serve the first 180 days of 10 year sentence in Jasper County jail for charges including three counts of crossing the guard line with contraband, two counts of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and one count of tampering with evidence. The remaining time is to be served on probation with a fine of $2,000.
Chassidy J. Pendergrass was sentenced to serve 180 days of a 10 year sentence in a probation detention center for three counts of sale of methamphetamine. The remaining time is to be served on probation with a fine of $2,000.
Defendants receiving probation sentences include:
Terrance Bostic, 12 years for three counts including possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and giving false information to an officer. Fined $2,000.
Donald L. Dupree, 10 years for 40 counts of financial transaction card fraud and restitution of $8,147 to Ronnie Waits.
John C. Wood, four years for sale of marijuana and $1,000 fine.
Jonathan A. Sims, three years concurrently on two separate cases involving three counts of obstruction of an officer and one count of reckless conduct and one count of battery, family violence and fined $800.
