Brenda Joyce Blankenship Coffield

Brenda Joyce Blankenship Coffield, age 66, of Culpepper, Va., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, at Mary Washington Hospital in Charlottesville, Va.

Brenda Coffield was born in Clifftop, W.Va. to the late Keith Frame and Eliza Jane Blankenship. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Everett Coffield; grandmother, Etta Blankenship; and sister, Delores James.

Mrs. Coffield lived in Atlanta for a number of years before returning to Culpepper, Va. in 2014, after the death of her husband. Before retirement, she was an engineer for AT&T for 33 years. She enjoyed hiking, biking and traveling; while hiking Stone Mountain, she met the “love of her life”, Joe. She considered Jekyll Island her favorite romantic, getaway travel spot.

She is survived by her son, Jason Morris of Remington, Va.; grandson, Jayden Morris of Remington, Va.; sister, Anna (Ernie) White of Manassas, Va.; a nephew and four nieces; and numerous cousins.

A private family graveside service will be held Friday, November 4, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Shady Dale. Rev. Ed Westbrook will officiate.
