Ms. Sandra Denise Sands Alarcon

A celebration of life for Ms. Sandra Denise Sands Alarcon was on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, 837 Hillsboro Street in Monticello,.Rev. Jimmy Horton, pastor, delivered the eulogy.

Mrs. Sandra Denise Sands-Alarcon was born on April 14, 1968 to the late Bennie Sands, Jr. and the late Annie Ruth Lloyd.

Sandra graduated from Monticello High School. She was employed with Valley Food Services. She loved to travel. She was a quiet, soft spoken person.

Sandra departed this life on October 12, 2016. She was preceded in death by two sons, Abel Alarcon and Santiago Alarcon; a brother, Terry Williams and a sister, Peggy McElheney.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Abel Alarcon; daughter, Caitlin Leverette; two brothers, Marion Sands (Lucile) and Tommy Sands; seven sisters; Lorrain Banks (Ray), Bobbi Sands (Melvin), Melinda McCoy (Scotty), Bridgett Ross (Obie), all of Monticello, Wyolene Dumas (Calvin) of Gray, Delphine Farley (Vinson), Mary McElheney, both of Eatonton. Also, a very special friend, Willie Smith of Lithonia, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
