Larry Errol Leathers

Larry Errol Leathers, age 77, of Jasper County passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at his residence.

Larry Leathers was born in Marietta, Ga., to the late Claude Hue Leathers and Lillie Mae Ellison Leathers. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Claudette Risher.

He lived in Decatur for a number of years before moving to Jasper County in 1983. Before retirement, he worked as a stockman and later, in security for Sears. He loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his sons, William Keith (Gretta) Leathers of Dallas and Kenneth Hugh (Debbie) Leathers of Covington; and grandchildren, Kenneth Leathers, Sean Leathers, Madison Leathers and Kaylee Leathers.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Elliott will officiate.
