Misseline W. Gardner
Funeral services for Mrs. Misseline “Meslean” Walker Gardner, who died August 22, 2016, were held August 25, 2016 at New Bethel Grove Baptist Church. Pastor Lucious Solomon officiated; burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Gardner, Anthony Simpson, Tommie Clay, Gregory Gardner, Ryan Stone, and Rico Harris.
Mrs. Gardner was born March 29, 1960 in Monticello, the daughter of Jessie Mae Walker and the late Winfred Walker, Sr. She graduated from Jasper County High School.
She was an employee at Georgia Pacific for 15 years. At an early age, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined New Bethel Grove Baptist Church in Monticello.
She was united in holy matrimony to Carlton Gardner and they enjoyed a devoted, loving life together until her death.
With this union they share two children, Toni Gardner and Jeremy Gardner (Denise). They also have five grandchildren, Isaiah, Alina, Ronald, Ryan, and Trinity.
Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by four siblings, Ina Stinson, Mary Stone, Karen Walker and Winfred Walker, Jr.
Surviving siblings in Monticello include Jessica Clay (Tommie), George Walker, Vernon Walker (Ann), Felton Walker, Dale Walker and David Walker. Also surviving are mother-in-law, Louise Gardner; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Farley, Gwendolyn Robinson, Regina Vinson (Alonza), all of Wayside, and Connie Hargive (Walker), Macon; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Gardner (Vonarica), and Gregory Gardner (regina), both of Macon. She had a host of devoted family members, including nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
