Comeback Attempt Falls Short for JV Cougars

Piedmont Academy’s junior varsity football team made a strong second half comeback attempt against Bethlehem Christian Academy last week but ended up a little short in a 28-26 contest.

Dylan Coe was 21-of-27 passing for 230 yards and had four touchdown passes in the home game.

Coe connected with Payton Wallace for two scores and one each to Zach Spivey and Drake Coody.

Ezra King made several defensive plays from his corner back position, coaches said.

The JV Cougars trailed 22-6 at halftime.

The JV Cougars are scheduled to return to the field at Creekside on Sept. 6.
