Carol Jeanne Callocchio

Carol Jeanne Callocchio, of Monticello passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Gustave J. and Sarah Flaig.

She is also preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Andrew Callocchio, Sr.

Carol spent her life giving to others. She retired from the Henry County Board of Education having taught at Henry County High School. She previously taught at Forest Park High School and St. John The Evangelist School in Hapeville. Carol was a member of St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Jonesboro. Carol made an impact on a lot of lives, but most of all those of her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Callocchio is survived by her children, Patrick A. Callocchio, Jr. (Jeannie) of McDonough, Mary Callocchio Stackhouse (Ryan) of Peachtree City; grandchildren, Andy, Alex, and Kylie Callocchio, Rachel, Nicholas, Emily, and Daniel Stackhouse; siblings, Lorraine Matarazzo (Albert) of Garden City, NY, Eileen Venuto of Howell, N.J.; and many nieces, nephews, great-neices, great-nephews, friends and loved ones.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Friday, August 26, 2016 at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Jonesboro with Father John Koziol officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
