JV Cougars To Begin Season

Piedmont Academy’s junior varsity football team is set for the 2016 season.

The JV Cougars will travel to Trinity Christian School in Dublin for a 6 p.m. kickoff today, August 18. Coach Alvin Hawks said the team is eager to take the field for a contest.

“We are excited to have a great group of JV players,” Hawkes said. “I am excited to work with them on developing their skills as football players. The players are working together and learning fast in practice. They are off to a fantastic start.”

Team members for the JV Cougars will be Mark Hicks, Ryan Reeves, Colt Hadaway, Harrison Dowdy, Brody Anderson, Drake Coody, Tanner Locklear, Jake Matthews, Cody Vaughn, Matthew Griffin, Payton Wallace, Trent Coots, Dylan Coe, Blake Calhoun, Zach Spivey and Ezra King.

Following this week’s opener, the Cougars will host Bethlehem Christian Academy next Thursday, Aug. 25.
