Deputies Respond to Calls

Jasper County deputies responded to a lot of varied calls in the last week, seemingly going from one end of the county to the other some days.

However, no serious activity was reported by the sheriff’s office. A report of financial transaction card forgery is being investigated this week, and a vehicle was reported stolen last Thursday from an address on Liberty Church Road.

A complainant in Shady Dale said someone had entered his truck and taken items from it, and a burglary was reported on Hwy. 16 west involving tools, a generator, air compressor and three weed eaters. In addition, a resident on Shirley Drive said he had ordered a new hoodie, and it was not in his mailbox after being delivered by the postal service.
