Few Cases Are Heard in Court
Last Tuesday was a very light day in Jasper Superior Court where Judge Allison Burleson had less than a dozen cases to review.
Cases settled included:
Anthony O’Neal Card, sentenced to 12 months of probation for simple battery, family violence. Fined $500.
Nichole Lee Lewis, sentenced to 180 days in jail for attempting to alter or falsify a drug screen She was credited for time served and will be released at the discretion of the sheriff.
Cody Dotter, sentenced to 180 days in jail suspended upon entry into a probation detention center for 90-120 days for failure to pay court fees and missing curfew twice in May. Given 90 days to pay $1,500 towards court fines, if paid detention order shall be vacated and in such case he will be given an additional 120 days to pay remaining balance.
Jessica Ann Stearns, sentenced to 90 days in jail for failure to report to the McDonough probation office and failure to report to Eatonton probation office as directed.
William Paul Perry, sentenced to 90 days in jail for failure to report to the McDonough probation office and failure to report to Eatonton probation office as directed.
Also, a bond order was placed for DeMarcio Stodghill in the amount of $5,000 for criminal damage to property in second degree and criminal attempt to commit misdemeanor.
