Several Are Arrested
Jasper County deputies were called to only three reports of burglary in the last week. A hunting cabin near Midway Road was burglarized, with numerous boxes of ammunition being taken.
Also, a dirt bike was reportedly taken from an address in Monticello on North Warren Street. Lastly, sometime in the last two months, a burglary occurred at an address on Brazey Road that was reported on Tuesday.
Also during the last week, many people were taken into custody on various charges. They include:
•Tracey Lynn Hall, 48, Monticello—driving while license suspended or revoked, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Desi Jamar Appling, 47, Monticello—sale of cocaine (three counts).
•Kenneth Anthony Thurman, 53, Monticello—probation violation.
•Romaine Ricardo Seay, 34, Stone Mountain—probation violation.
•Cody Allen Dotter, 21, Monticello—probation violation.
•Nyla Leslie Allen, 47, Monticello—speeding, driving while unlicensed, suspended registration, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, no valid insurance and no tag.
•William Paul Perry, 30, Monticello—probation violation.
•Phillip Michael Clegg, 29, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Christopher Lance Fowler, Jr., 26, Monticello—aggravated assault (three counts).
•Charles Denny Pitts, 56, Covington—probation violation.
•Michael Derek Hopkins, 26, Monticello—crossing guard lines with weapons/drugs/or intoxicants and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (two counts).
•John Daniel LaFlamme, Jr., 49, Williamson—boating under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Charles Daniel Smith, 45, Shady Dale—sale of marijuana (five counts), possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
•Jimi Lynn Beavers, 40, Mansfield—sale of marijuana.
•James Barry McDonald, 52, Monticello—hold for warrant in Putnam Co.
Deputies responded to about 400 calls for service in the last week.
