Jerry Glen Crow

Jerry Glen Crow, age 80, of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at his residence.

Jerry Crow was born and raised in Dalton, Ga., to the late Jerry Cleveland Crow and Elizabeth Randolph Crow. He moved to East Atlanta in 1954; and later, to Lithonia; where he owned and operated C&C Truck Equipment Company for 20 years. After retirement in 1994, he moved to Monticello, and became a beef cattle farmer.

He served as a Jasper County Commissioner for four years; and was a member of the E A Miner Masonic Lodge in Lithonia.

He will be sorely missed by his loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Darlene Fay Bishop Crow, who passed away three months ago. He was also preceded in death by his son, Richard Glenn Crow; grandson, Caleb Allen Crow; brothers, Chess Crow and Randy Crow; and sister, Doris Fowler.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Allen and Donna Crow of Monticello; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Jim Beatty of Greensboro; grandchildren, Neal Crow, Jeremy Crow, Christy Baker, Kathleen “Katy Beth” Sheehan, Seth Crow, Elizabeth Beatty, and Jamie Beatty; great-grandchildren, Clayton Baker, Carly Baker and Caleb Sheehan; and brother and sisters, Tom Crow of Douglasville, Polly Kyle of Hiawassee, and Elizabeth Watkins of Powder Springs.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016, at the Chapel of Jordan Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Williams Payne Cemetery. Rev. Jim Martin will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Neal Crow, Jeremy Crow, Britt Barrett, Seth Crow, Chris Baker and Jim Beatty.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, June 3, 2016, at Jordan Funeral Home.
