Douglas McAuthur Hayslip

Mr. Douglas McAuthur Hayslip, Sr., age 74 of Shady Dale, Ga., passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Abbey Hospice.

Mr. Hayslip was born in Cordele, Ga. on February 16, 1942. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Reese Hayslip and Lela Mae Dogget Hayslip; son, Christopher Allen Hayslip. Mr. Hayslip was retired from Miller Brewing Company and loved to fish.

He is survived by his, sons, Douglas Hayslip and wife, Vickie, Kevin Hayslip and wife, Jacki; wife, Lavance Woodell; 16 grandchildren; sons, Tyrone Smith, Jernon Smith; daughter, Tammy Tinsley; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Douglas McAuthur Hayslip, Sr. will be on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Pastor Eric Sigman will officiate.
