Carolyn Faye Gordon Kimble

Carolyn Faye Gordon Kimble, age 77, of Round Oak, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016, at her residence.

Faye Kimble was born on October 28, 1937, in Round Oak, Ga. Her parents were the late Mercer Granville “Kit” Gordon and Emma Lee Goodman Gordon. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, A.W. Gordon, Danny Gordon and Mercer Gordon.

Faye worked at the Monticello Manufacturing Company for about 25 years. She retired from the Macon Telegraph where she delivered the paper for almost 25 years, and hardly missed a day.

Faye’s favorite things were flowers and butterflies; and she loved walking through the yard admiring everything in bloom. Her most beloved animals were her chihuahuas, and had a great love for all animals.

She is survived by her husband, Frank William Kimble of Round Oak; children, Kathy (Mitch) Layton of Chesapeake, Va., Kandy (Jeff) Stanford, Tim (Paula) Kimble of Round Oak and Todd Kimble of Round Oak; grandchildren, Jessica (Ben) Manning, Marcus (Brooke) Stanford, Amber Stanford, Nick Kimble, Marcus Gregory and Joshua Jeans; and great-grandson, Mayson Stanford.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 1, 2016, at the Sunshine Methodist Church in Round Oak. Interment was held in the Gordon Family Cemetery in Round Oak. Bishop Greg Banks officiated.

Serving as pallbearers were Danny Roland, Frankie Hallman, Jerry Shubert, Steve Jones, Will Perry and Zack Huckeba.
