Cougar Golfers Compete at Region

The Piedmont Academy golf team finished second at the region meet Monday as Tanner Casey was the region’s individual low medalist.

Casey’s round of 79 was the best of the day and teammate Browning Benton’s round of 80 tied for second place.

Piedmont will now compete at the state golf tournament next Monday at Galloway Gardens.

Also competing for the Cougars at region Monday were Chandler Burrell, Zach Sanders and Preston Tyler.

The Piedmont golf team is coached by Michael Wilson.
