Several Are Sentenced in Court

Jasper Superior Court conducted a brisk motion day session Tuesday morning as the court docket was very light. Judge Hugh Wingfield, III presided over this week’s proceedings.

Dawn Michelle Raynor was sentenced to five years of probation following a guilty plea of theft by taking. She was ordered to pay restitution of $1,230 to the Jasper County Probate Court in addition to being fined $1,000 in court fees.

Bill Karl Hendrix, Jr. was also sentenced to five years of probation for guilty pleas to two counts including theft by receiving stolen property and possession of methamphetamine. He was fined $1,000 in court fees.

Several probation revocations were reviewed and included:

•Alicia Marie Cates, balance of probation revoked to the state penal system for violating a judge’s October 2015 order to complete the six-month inpatient program Sober Living America.

•Kenneth Anthony Thurman, balance of probation revoked with 175 days to serve in Jasper County jail for positive alcohol test in February 2016 and new offenses including public drunkenness, burglary, aggravated assault, terroristic threats in March 2016.

•Marchinlo Alexander Wyman, balance of probation revoked with 148 days to serve in Jasper County jail for new charge of sale of cocaine in March 2016.

•Andrea Frederica Barkley, balance of probation revoked with 100 days to serve in Jasper County jail. If balance of court fees are paid, 40 days may be suspended. Defendant failed to pay court fees and received new charge of sale of cocaine in March 2016.

•Amanda Sue Custer, sentenced to 60 days in Jasper County jail for failure to pay court fines and received new charge of use of communication facility in commission of a felony involving controlled substance.

During the March 15 motion day session of Jasper Superior Court, Gerky Reyes was sentenced to two years in confinement by Judge Brenda Trammell,

Mr. Reyes was charged and sentenced on five counts including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carrying a weapon without a license, and three counts of obstruction of an officer. Following the first two years of confinement, including credit for time served since August 2015, he must serve three years of probation in addition to being fined $1,000.

Other sentences included the following:

•Matthew Guy Stephenson, sentenced to 30 days in Jasper County jail and the balance of 12 months on probation for theft by receiving stolen property. Fined $400.

•Christopher Montez Thomas, sentenced to four years of probation for two counts including aggravated assault and battery. Fined $1,000.

•Rebecca Mae Faulks, sentenced to two years of probation for possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. Fined $500.

•Amy Richelle Chandler, sentenced to 12 months of probation for drugs not in original container. Fined $400.

Probation revocations included:

•Hakeel Norwood, probation revoked to 180 days in Jasper County jail and upon release must pay $500 in court fines within 30 days for failure to pay court fines, failure to report to Eatonton probation office, failure to complete community service, failure to adhere to curfew, and failure to report to administrative hearing.

•Marcus Campbell, probation revoked to 150 days in Jasper County jail with credit for time served since February 5, 2016 arrest for new offense of battery, simple battery, and obstruction of an officer in Jasper County.

•Stephanie Loraine Quinton, probation revoked to 30 days in Jasper County jail for failure to report to Eatonton probation office, failure to complete community service, and failure to pay court fines.

•Alvin Adonis Bailey, sentenced to serve time in jail from Sundays at 9 a.m. until Tuesdays at 9 a.m. every week until expiration of probation for failure to report to jail as instructed and failure to pay court fines.

•Mark Anthony Johnson, revoked 30 days to Jasper County jail with 12 days of credit for time served which would be suspended upon payment of court fines in arrears. He failed to report to probation office, failed to make regular payment of court fines, and failed to complete community service.
