B-Team Cougars Drop Two

The Piedmont Academy B-Team baseball squad was involved with two close games with Bethlehem Christian Academy last week on the road.

The Cougars would fall 2-1 and 12-11 but had several quality performances from various players. In the 2-1 contest, Chase Porter pitched four innings and recorded four strikeouts.

Tate Marks scored the lone run for the Cougars.

Both teams were able to generate more offense in the second contest. Marks was 2-for-3 with two runs while Chase Porter finished 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Caleb Faircloth was 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI while Clayton Carter was 1-for-2 with a run.

Zach Spivey finished 1-for-3 and drove in a run and Brett Bush was 1-for-2 with two runs and an RBI. Owen Brady had a 1-for-2 performance with a run and RBI.

Bush, J.T. Webb, Spivey, Brady and Dalton Whitley each pitched.
