Man Is Charged with Internet Contact with a Child

Chad Lauvoris Jeffrey of Social Circle was arrested Tuesday by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with obscene internet contact with a child, distributing obscene material, and criminal attempt to commit child molestation.

Mr. Jeffrey was charged after he was allegedly communicating about sexual interactions via the internet, with a female whom he believed to be 15 years of age. Jeffrey is also alleged to have traveled to Monticello for the purposes of meeting the 15 year old.

Jeffrey is currently a registered sex offender in Walton County for committing the offense of Sexual Exploitation of a Child in South Carolina in 2014. The 15 year old was actually an undercover agent of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.

•Sarah Jane Gibson, 34, Monticello — violation of family violence order.

•Michael Derek Hopkins, 26, Monticello — driving while license suspended or revoked, seat belt violation, drivers license violation and no proof of insurance.

•Grant Christopher Gierman, 34, Monticello—failure to maintain lane and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Harmon Reed Moss, 48, Jackson—possession of open container and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Stanley Lamar Malcom, 41, Social Circle—driving while license suspended or revoked and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Bridgette Lynn Jones, 31, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine, possession of Schedule IV controlled substance, drug related objects and driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Teresa Marie Schwartz, 27, Monticello—possession of Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine and drug related objects.

•Anthony Tyrone Potts, 49, Covington—possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine.

•Yolanda Madison Davis, 38, Shady Dale—driving in violation of conditions of limited permit and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Eddie Tobias Webb, 39, Shady Dale—battery.

•Duron Lee Brown-Wilder, 35, Fairburn—seat belt violation, no insurance and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Jimale Dionte Nunnery, 35, Rex—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Dontaye Percy-Lee Warren, 26, Fairburn—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Anthony Oneal Card, 31, Monticello—simple battery.

•Jacqueline Elaine Suttles, 33, Monticello—Jasper County Magistrate Court bench warrant.

•Scott William Bogulski, 39, Forsyth—theft by taking.
