Clinton Pittard Cason

Clinton Pittard Cason, age 84, of Monticello, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.

Clinton Cason was a lifelong resident of Jasper County. His parents were the late Francis Adel Cason and Bessie Shaw Chaffin Cason. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Clinton Cason served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated his poultry and beef cattle farm. He worked in the fertilizer business and drove a milk truck for a number of years.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Lamar “Ronnie” Cason; and brothers, Lamar Chaffin “Monk” Cason and Francis Adel Cason, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Eckie May Linch Cason of Monticello; sons, Clinton Michael “Mike” Cason and Donald Francis “Donnie” Cason; sisters-in-law, Sara Linch Cason of Monticello and Josephine Elizabeth Littrell of Williamsburg, Ohio; and brother-in-law, Luther Wilkins “Pete” Linch of Abilene, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at 2 p.m., at the Chapel of Jordan Funeral Home. Interment will be held in Williams Payne Cemetery. Rev. Charlie Edwards will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Marion McElheney, Dick Lumpkin, Benny Lewis, Jerry Linch, David Linch and Keith Smith.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2016, at Jordan Funeral Home in Monticello.
