Mrs. Johnnie Ann Crutchfield

A celebration of life for Mrs. Johnnie Ann Crutchfield, who died February 19, 2016, was held February 126 at The Body of Jesus Christ Church in Gray. Joe L. Ridley officiated; burial ws in Crutchfield Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Ms. Crutchfield, affectionately known as “Ann” was born on April 14, 2921 to the late Hattie Rooks-Jackson and Johnny Jackson.

As a long time member of The Body of Jesus Christ Church, Ann served as a faithful, devoted usher, deaconess, church custodian, and member of the kitchen committee. She served as a mother on the mother board. With a loving heart and dedication, Ann lived a life that impacted everyone around her. Showing devotion to her family and church, she loved people and her community.

On February 17, 1946, Ann was united in holy matrimony with Clarence Crutchfield, Sr., where they lived happily together for 66 years of marriage. Having retired in the mid 80’s from Dexter Axle in Monticello, she enjoyed spending time with her church and family.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four children: Judy Wilson (John) of Juliette, Patricia Ann Crutchfield of Johns Creek, Clarence Crutchfield, Jr. (Stacey) of Hillsboro, and Ricky Crutchfield (LaVita) of Jackson; a devoted daughter-in-law Carla Hardeman (Doyle) of Monticello; one brother-n-law, Ulysses Crutchfield, Sr., two sisters-in-laws Ola Mae Luckie and Bonnie Crutchfield, all of Mansfield, Ohio; six grandchildren, Jemica, Tonya, Rashad, DeAshley, Daishawan, Natalie; six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge.
