Hurricanes Jump into the Final Four

The Monticello Hurricanes took down the Fighting Irish of Dublin, 79-67, Thursday evening in the quarterfinal Elite Eight round of the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) AA state basketball playoffs.

The victory places the Canes in the Final Four where they will face Manchester this Saturday, Feb. 27 beginning at 4:45 p.m. at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville. Another win for the Canes will send them to the state championships next Saturday at the Macon Coliseum against today’s winners of Crawford/Holy Innocence versus Thomasville/Pace Academy.
