Garry William Allen

Garry William Allen, age 67, of Monticello, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

Garry Allen was born in Monroe, Ga. to the late Charles William Allen and Eddie Ruth Harp Allen. He was a lifelong resident of Jasper County. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters and brother, Dorothy Jean Roberts, Bettie Ann Speer, Charlie Clenton Allen and Donia Mills Smith.

He was a member of Smithboro Baptist Church. He owned and operated his lawn and garden maintenance company.

He is survived by his sister, Janette Smith of Buford; sister-in-law, Cora Lee Allen of Eatonton; brothers-in-law, Hulon Speer of McDonough and James Terrell “Terry” Smith of Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, at Smithboro Baptist Church in Monticello. Interment will be held in Talmadge Cemetery in Monticello. Rev. Joe Ezzard will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Smith, Chuck Smith, Allen Smith, Keith Smith, Mills Smith and Thomas Speer.
