Arrests Are Reported

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office investigated several incidents in the last week, and have suspects for some of them.

A resident on Forsyth Street reported a Polaris off-road vehicle being stolen on Monday. In addition, Big Chic in Monticello caught someone trying to use a counterfeit bill, also on Monday. In addition, juveniles are suspected in a burglary and criminal trespass reported on Old Adgateville Road. A suspect is also being sought in the case of a financial transaction card unauthorized use and theft. Lastly, deputies are looking into a theft by deception where a resident bought a gift card from someone, but it had no money on it.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Cierra Sankira Wright, 17, Shady Dale—probation violation and disorderly conduct.

•Lois Marie Gignac, 52, Newborn—probation violation.

•Katherine Melinda Elsasser, 38, Covington—hold for warrant in Bibb Co.

•Johnny Dwayne Farley, 55, Mansfield—probation violation.

•David Levontae Williams, 36, Milledgeville—driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Sheila Rosell Dennis, 44, Monticello—probation violation.

•Calvin Neal Williams, 49, Shady Dale—criminal damage to property second degree.

•Darnell Sanchez Norwood, 19, Shady Dale—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Damian Kendell Cloud, 23, Shady Dale—child support.

•Mark David Ray, 29, Monticello—probation violation and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Dustin Travis Jeffery, 21, Monticello—probation violation.

•Joshua David Coker, 35, Covington—hold for warrant in Newton Co.

•Robbie Darlen Reagin, 26, Shady Dale—theft by receiving stolen property.

•Charles Denny Pitts, 56, Covington—reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Marty Lyle Bilbrey, Jr., 25, Newborn—cruelty to children in the third degree and simple battery.

•Jennifer Suzanne Fernandez, 25, Monticello—cruelty to children in the third degree and simple battery.
