Clerk of Courts Seeks Another Term

DAN JORDAN

Jasper County Clerk of Courts Dan Jordan has announced that he will be seeking another term of office.

“It is my honor to serve as your Clerk of Courts. The current term of office in particular has been my privilege. Both my fellow constitutional officers and the county commissioners currently holding office are consummate professionals. I have never before experienced better teamwork than we have had in the past four years. Jasper County is indeed fortunate,” said Mr. Jordan.

Additionally he stated, “Since I last announced for this office, we have gained three new superior court judges and a new district attorney. These women and men are a pleasure to work with and make me proud to be an official of the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit.”

Mr. Jordan went on to say that “There have been several technological achievements during this term. We have imaged every Jasper County plat book onto our Georgia Clerk’s Authority search and retrieval system enabling researchers to view and copy plats without having to come to the courthouse. We have also put deed books on this system back to January 1, 1990. I am always looking for ways to utilize technology so that our public records will be protected, efficiency will be increased and access and convenience to the public will be improved.”

“Thank you for allowing me to serve as your Clerk of Courts. I would appreciate the opportunity to serve another term of office,” said Mr. Jordan.

Dan Jordan is a Monticello native, a graduate of Jasper County High School and has a bachelor’s degree from Georgia College and State University. He is a member of Monticello Presbyterian Church.
