Mr. Albert ‘Tom’ Sanders

Mr. Albert “Tom” Sanders of Shady Dale passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at Riverside Nursing Home in Covington.

A homegoing celebration will be held this Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at 2 p.m. from Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Eatonton. Minister Antonio McGuire will officiate, with interment in church cemetery

Visitation will take place Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Curry & Derricho Funeral Home, 111 Venture Court, Monticello.

“Mr. Tom” is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mrs. Beatrice Sanders; a daughter, Betty Ann Marks of Shady Dale, Mrs. Katrece (Willie) Davis of Monticello, Mrs. Joycelyn (Darnell) Richard, grandson, Minister Antonio (Christie) McGuire, of Newborn, a brother, Willie Aurther Sanders of Shady Dale; a sister, Audrey Norwood of Monticello; a brother-in-law, Nash Davis of Miami, Fla., two devoted nieces, Betty Ann Williams of Miami, Fla., and Pastor Marquette Brooks of Monticello.

Curry & Derricho Funeral Home is in charge of arrangement.
