Motion Day Is Held

Judge Trenton Brown, III presided over the October 27 motion day calendar in the Jasper Superior Court. The light court docket yielded the following sentences:

Gregory L. Thurman, 90 days in jail for giving false information to a law enforcement officer. He was given credit for time served since September 26 when he was arrested for the new offense.

Clayton Qavaris McCrary, sentenced to four years of probation for crossing the guard lines with drugs, possession of marijuana and driving while license suspended. Fined $2,000.

Gerald Rashad Brown, sentenced to 24 months of probation for reckless driving and obstruction of an officer. Fined $900.

Jason Dwayne Strawder, sentenced to 12 months for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. Fined $500.

Troy Lee Dowdy, sentenced to 30 days in jail and payment of $600 within 90 days for testing positive for methamphetamine at the Covington probation office.

Timothy Dewayne Rogers, sentenced to 30 days in jail for new offense of driving under the influence in Butts County in August.

Keifer Wood, sentenced to re-enter and complete the Department of Correction’s integrated treatment program or serve nine years of a 15 year confinement sentence. He failed to complete the probation residential substance abuse treatment center program.

Clarence Price, III, sentenced to make payment of $449 from previous court fees for violating probation terms by committing theft by receiving stolen property and speeding.
