13 Is Lucky for One Contest Player

Patricia Bruno, with some help from her sister, Cathy Davis, successfully picked the winners of 13 of 15 games listed in The Monticello News weekly football contest.

For her effort, Ms. Bruno picked up a $25 prize from Northwestern Mutual Insurance Company, Kelly Fox, agent. Mr. Fox was not available to present the prize, so Victoria Lawrence of The Monticello News made the presentation in his place.

Ms. Bruno said her sister helps her, and keeps up with the wins over the weekend. Ms. Davis also had her name added to the grand prize honor roll, but she missed one more than her sister did.

Both ladies live in Mansfield and fax their entries in each week. Ms. Bruno missed one high school contest, and one pro contest, successfully guessing the winner of all college games listed. Seven players made the honor roll.

This week players have another chance at the weekly $25 prize and to get their names added to the grand prize honor roll of four tickets to the Chick-fil-A/Peach Bowl in Atlanta on New Year’s Eve. All players who have 12 or more right in any week have their name added to the list. A drawing will be held at the end of the weekly contest to determine the grand prize winner. There is no purchase necessary to enter.

The contest is on page 12 of today’s paper. Complete rules are included. The winner will pick up a $25 prize from Primary Care Center. Entries must arrive at The News office, in person or by fax, by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13. Please write legibly!
