James Clinton Huff

James Clinton Huff, age 83, of Monticello, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.

James Huff’s parents were the late Coile Huff and Annie Braddy Huff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Ozella Harper Huff and Jan Dowda Huff.

He was a lifelong resident of Monticello and was a graduate of Middle Georgia College. Before retirement, he worked for Warner Robins Air Force Base. He was a founding member of Hunter Pope Country Club.

He is survived by his sons, Doug (Kay) Huff of Monticello, and Daryl (Marilyn) Huff of Evans; grandchildren, Kate Canterbury, Wesley Huff, Ethan Huff, Jessica Moose, Tyler Huff, and Kyle Huff; and great-grandchildren, J.T. Canterbury, Sam Canterbury, Lauren Moose, and Harper Moose.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at West View Cemetery in Monticello. Rev. Charles Roper will officiate.

His grandsons, Wesley Huff, Ethan Huff, Tyler Huff, Kyle Huff, Tim Canterbury, and Dave Moose will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at Jordan Funeral Home.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the charity of one’s choice.
