Randolph Pittard Waits

Randolph Pittard Waits, age 100, of Macon, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at the Coliseum Northside Hospital in Macon.

Pittard Waits was born in Adgateville, Ga., to the late Pearla Goolsby Waits and Arshon Waits. He was a member of the Adgateville Baptist Church. Before retirement, he worked as a carpenter for the Georgia Kaolin Company. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.

A son, Larry G. Waits, Sr., and four brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Esther Barker Waits of Macon; daughter-in-law, Kay H. Waits of Macon; grandchildren, Larry (Jennifer) Waits, Jr. of Byron, Keith Waits of Macon, and Shannon (Dalisa) Waits of Macon; great-grandchildren, Brittany Waits Barnes, Jordan Waits, Kyle Waits, Marissa Waits Herndon, Presley Waits, Brett Waits, Daniel Frank, David Frank, and Baily Frank; great-great-grandchild, Kynleigh Waits; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe and Judy Barker of Lilburn; and several nieces.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, October 12, 2015, at Hebron Cemetery, Hwy 11 S, Monticello, Ga.,1064. Rev. Phil Bryant will officiate.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to one’s favorite charity.
