MS Cougars Fall

Piedmont Academy’s Middle School football team dropped a 30-14 contest to Bethlehem Christian Academy last week.

“We had some opportunities to score that didn’t work out,” said coach Alvin Hawkes.

“Defensively, we weren’t able to stop them enough.”

Dylan Coe connected with Zach Spivey for Piedmont’s first score followed by a two-point conversion pass from Owen Brady to Tate Marks.

The Cougars’ second touchdown came on a run by Marks.

Now 3-2 overall, Piedmont’s Middle School team will host Covenant Academy today, Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. The Cougars defeated Covenant 24-14 in a game that was shortened due to lightning earlier this season.
