Several Are Sentenced

Patrick Wesley Odom was sentenced to four years in the Georgia penal system for judgements involving two felony cases that stemmed from an August 2015 incident while he was already under court probation terms.

The sentence was handed down during Jasper Superior Court motion day last week under the direction of Judge Brenda Trammell.

Mr. Odom’s probation was revoked for committing new offenses including sale of marijuana, possession of firearm by first offender probationer, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and criminal use of an article with altered id in August 25. He was sentenced to five years in confinement for the first offense listed and given 10 years collectively for the remainder offenses with four to serve that run concurrent with the sentence from the first offense.

Five individuals received revocations or modifications as well:

Bradley Parker had his probation revoked to the Jasper County jail for failure to report to the probation office, failure to follow curfew and failure to complete aftercare treatment program.

Stanley Hash was sentenced to serve 180 days in the state probation detention center for committing new offense of terroristic threats and simple assault in Newton County.

Donald Hill and Olivia Jackson were each given a specific amount of time to pay court fines in arrears or report to the court for further action.
