Raymond Paul Rush
Raymond Paul Rush, age 35, of Newborn, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at Newton Medical Center in Covington.
Raymond Rush was born in Columbus, Ohio, and moved to Monticello 15 years ago. His mother was the late Roberta Mae Roth Brosius. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Social Circle. Ray worked for Snyder Industries as a truck driver.
Ray loved playing with his children, his church family, driving trucks, hunting, and going to yard sales.
Along with his mother, his brother, Reese Rush preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife, Crystal Whitley Rush of Newborn; children, Jason Rush, David Rush, and Lillie Rush of Newborn; step-father, David Brosius; brother, Christopher Rush of Oregon; sisters and brother-in-law, Kimberly Lopez of Mesa Arizona, Jennifer Lynn and Patrick Wiggins of Ohio, and Rachael Rush of Ohio; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Randy and Martha Whitley; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Randall and Courtney Whitley, Nikita and Joshua Harrison, and Victoria and Jamie Patton; and aunt and uncle, Samantha England and Willie Porter.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Newborn. Interment will be held in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. Revs. Danny Sorrells and Brandon Stanley will officiate.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 29, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Randall Whitley, Joshua Harrison, Willie Porter, Josh Gravley, Jimmy Durrance and Jamie Patton.
