Mrs. Mary E. Ushery

A celebration of the life of Mrs. Mary E. Ushery will be held today, Sept. 24, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Concord Primitive Baptist Church, 170 Concord Church Road in Monticello. Elder H.G. Terry, pastor, will deliver the eulogy. She died September 19.

Mrs. Ushery was born on October 18, 1920 to the parentage of the late Eugene and Maggie Epps. She was a native of Jasper County where she attended public school.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two devoted daughters, Ms. Mary Goolsby of Macon, and Annie (Horace) Shivers of Monticello; eight grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; also a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and two devoted friends, Ms. Naomi Ross and Mrs. Arthurene Davis from the Senior Center.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Monticello, is in charge of arrangements.
