Volleyball Knights Begin Season

The Shiloh Christian Academy Lady Knights volleyball team began its regular season play with a match last Tuesday against the Trinity Prep Lady Lions.

After a long summer of practice, the Lady Knights competed well against an established Lions team but came up short. The Lions won the match in three straight games, 25-20, 25-11, 25-19. Putting the pressure on the Lions were Mckenzie Tolbert and Anna Dinn, but the team didn’t have enough depth to extend the match to five games.

The team rebounded well by defeating Covington Academy last Thursday. The win was a team effort with all 12 Lady Knights contributing to their very first win in program history. Scoring was led by Kaitlyn Coe and M. Tolbert in the three game sweep, 25-17, 25-10, and 27-25.
