Stepped-up Enforcement Results in Arrests

There were numerous arrests that started with traffic stops for impaired driving over the holiday weekend, and sheriff Donnie Pope attributes that to having a specialized detail involving the crime suppression unit working as well as the road deputies who normally would be on the road. Having more people in traffic enforcement result in numerous arrests.

Deputies also investigated three reports of theft by taking, and one theft by deception.

Those arrested during the past week, including the long holiday weekend, include:

•Bobbie Gantt, 68, Monticello—speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Timothy John Mannor, 57, Shady Dale—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Michael Oneal Lyons, 49, Shady Dale—probation violation.

•Fernando Rojas Gutierez, 42, Monticello—driving while unlicensed and obstructed license plate.

•Jeffery Lamar Carter, 29, Monticello—hold for warrant in Morgan Co.

•Beyunka Valencana Jones, 40, Milledgeville—hold for warrant in Putnam Co.

•Brandy Lynn Gray, 32, Jenkinsburg—hold for warrant in Henry Co.

•Willie Charles Hardwick, 56, Monticello—disorderly conduct.

•Ronnie Eugene Goolsby, 50, Monticello—public drunkenness.

•Leslie Myron Maddox, 52, Monticello—simple battery.

•Edward Lee Davis, 34, Mansfield—driving while license suspended or revoked and speeding.

•Robert Scott Boling, Jr., 26, Covington—failure to maintain lane, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and DUI-child endangerment.

•Bradi Deeanna Hughes, 30, Gray—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain lane and improper stopping on roadway.

•Randall Howard Hester, 36, Newnan—possession of methamphetamine, theft by receiving stolen property (two counts), possession and use of drug related objects, open container, passing in a no passing zone and driving while license suspended or revoked and use of license plate to misrepresent identify of vehicle.

•Colby Deeric Bilbrew, 38, Riverdale—theft by receiving stolen property (two counts), possession of methamphetamine, open container and possession and use of drug related objects.

•Walter Lee Dorough, 51, Monticello—defective equipment and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Trey Christopher Britt, 20, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs less safe.

•Harley Leeann Smith, 19, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to obey a traffic control device.

•Justin Paul Jenkins, 28, McDonough—driving while license suspended or revoked and seat belt violation.

•Abigal Brook Davis, 19, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Jessica Ann Stearns, 31, Monticello—possession of Schedule II controlled substance and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Molissa Matney D’Heasler, 51, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute (two counts).

•Bradly Dale Parker, 34, Hillsboro—probation violation.

•James Burnett Lewis, 33, Louisville—possession of cocaine.

•Deuntea Ty’Quill Lynch, 21, Louisville—possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana less than 1 oz and no seatbelt.

•Howard Flonnory, 58, Bartow— possession of cocaine.

•Gregory Mountain, 52, Louisville: driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of cocaine, no seat belt and driving while unlicensed.

•Eddie Lee Daniels, 56, Louisville—possession of cocaine.

•Roger Len Wilkerson, 47, Monticello—driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Evan Philip Harvey, 20, Mansfield—reckless driving and failure to return to the scene of an accident.
