Cases Are Settled in Courts

The September 1 motion day session of the Jasper Superior Court was quick as several cases were continued and three individuals received probation modifications.

Those revocations include:

Mary Ann Cleveland— probation revoked for 60 days in jail for a positive drug test on June 18. She must also obtain a substance abuse evaluation and resume originally ordered probation terms .

Marilyn Armstrong—probation revoked for 45 days in jail for positive drug test on August 12. She must obtain a substance abuse evaluation and resume originally ordered probation terms.

Marchinlo Wyman—probation revoked for 60 days in jail for new offense of criminal trespass and simple assault on August 6. He was credited for time served of 27 days from original offense of possession of marijuana on July 7.

Jasper County Magistrate Court settled the following cases since August 21:

Brian Anthony Lee Bell, guilty plea to disorderly conduct/violent manner fear safety and received six months probation, $300 fine, and 20 hours community service.

Blake Anthony Bell, guilty plea to disorderly conduct/affray and $300 fine.

Kayla Bedingfield, guilty plea to failure to keep animal under restraint, failure to vaccinate animal against rabies, and abandonment of animal. Fined $340 and case placed on upcoming trial calendar.

David Hardwick, bond withheld for disorderly conduct/public drunkenness.

Kenneth Anthony Thurman, probation revoked for 60 days in jail for disorderly conduct/public drunkenness.

Michael Lyons, probation revoked for 60 days in jail for probation violation.
